Friedrich Achleitner's View of the Architecture of Austria after 1945 book presentation Location: Architekturzentrum Wien - Podium Presentation: Monday 11 May 2015, 7pm Tickets: Admission free! a cooperation by the Kunstuniversität Linz with the Az W panel: Friedrich Achleitner, Architecture expert and Author Reinhard Kannonier, Rector of the Kunstuniversität Linz Ulrich Schmidt, Birkhäuser Verlag GmbH Roland Gnaiger, Head of the Department of Architecture, Kunstuniversität Linz Gabriele Kaiser, Head of the architekturforum oberösterreich, Linz moderated by: Dietmar Steiner, Director of the Az W Friedrich Achleitner, architecture expert, author and professor emeritus, repeated his legendary series of lectures at the Kunstuniversität Linz from 2010 to 2012. He spoke using selected examples from his personal archives of slides of the architecture of the 20th century, compiled over decades. These lectures are now in print. The book also includes approx. a thousand photographs taken mostly by Achleitner himself, showing his capacity not only as a critic but also an architectural photographer. |
