Registration required: from 22.5. at office@azw.at On the recommendation of Assemble, who explored Vienna in advance of their exhibition in the Az, we visit an unknown gem: the Vienna Brick Museum. For the British collective an understanding of what the city is made from and how materials come together is the basis for intervening in the course of things. Their research inspires us to take a closer look at a typical Viennese building material, the brick. With its 13,000 examples the museum has the largest collection of masonry bricks in Europe and offers information about the development as well as the social consequences of brick production in Vienna.
