Members of the board of the Zentralvereinigung der ArchitektInnen Österreichs (for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland) discuss aspects from the past and the future of the association, which celebrated 100 years since its founding in 2007.
Originally established to officially represent architecture producers, after 1959 the ZV became an independent society with a stronger focus on cultural goals and the promotion of quality in architecture and urban design. This period of change and renewal was also marked by the personality of Eugen Wörle, who chaired the board until his death in 1996. In 2008, following Hans Hollein's presidency of many years, a new generation emerged among the members of the Association. The programme of the new board primarily embraces current issues in the architecture sector and the culture of building, which are to be pursued with increased intensity and vehemence.
Guests Hans Hollein, architect Marta Schreieck, architect Maria Auböck, landscape architect Paul Katzberger, architect Franz Kiener, architect
