Summerworkshop 2008: Sporting Worlds The Architekturzentrum Wien dedicated summer 2008 to sports— from the summer Olympics to the Euro 2008 football championship. As a group we took a look at the history of the Olympic Games from the sports arenas of Ancient Greece to the Olympic Stadium in Beijing and the Allianz-Arena in Munich. In a hands-on practical session we took a closer look at the Wiener Stadthalle and created an extension for it that we then reproduced on a larger scale.
