The German/English catalogue "Spot On: Österreich / Austria" is being published to accompany the Austrian focus within the exhibition „Think Global, Build Social! Architectures for a Better World“

Austria plays a surprisingly important role in the design-build movement, as is currently shown in the focus on Austria, “Spot on: Österreich / Austria”, which forms part of the exhibition "Think Global, Build Social. Architectures for a Better World".

The catalogue, which is hot off the press, presents 72 projects from the last ten years which were developed through Austrian initiatives. In addition to the most important provider of impetus, the association s2arch founded by Christoph Chorherr, the design.build studio of the TU Vienna, Foreign Affairs from the University of Applied Arts and BASEhabitat from the Kunstuniversität Linz are also introduced. In addition we ask the Viennese architects’ practice gaupenraub +/-, which for years has designed and carried out remarkable projects for homeless people in Vienna, to step in front of the curtain.

"It’s not the clicks and likes on virtual Internet sites that change the world, but the great willingness of young people to devote their abilities, their time and their strengths to a concrete project that benefits others and opens up opportunities in life for them." (Christoph Chorherr)
