THE ARCHITEKTURZENTRUM WIEN HELPS REFUGEES AND MIGRANTS!

LONGER TERM PROJECTS IN COOPERATION WITH THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION FOR MIGRATION, IOM AND WITH THE AID OF THE AUSTRIAN INTEGRATION FUND, ÖIF

Orientation and city expeditions
In cooperation with the IOM the Architekturzentrum Wien offers dialogue-based “Vienna orientation tours” during which, using the permanent exhibition “a_show. Austrian Architecture in the 20th and 21st Centuries” and various city expeditions along the Ringstraße, the Danube Canal, around the First Distict and through the WU campus to the DonauCity, the city of Vienna is researched and, at the same time, German is practiced.

Since 2012 the IOM national office for Austria has been operating the project CulTrain – Cultural Orientation Training for Young Refugees. In the framework of cultural orientation training comprehensive information is provided about Austria as a way of facilitating the integration process.

A first joint meeting takes place on Saturday, 12.12.2015.
Further dates will be offered from 2016.
