1937–1941 studied at the Höhere Staatsbauschule Salzburg
1945–1949 freelance architect in Gmunden and Vienna
1949–1952 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Clemens Holzmeister
1952–1964 member of Arbeitsgruppe 4 (with Friedrich Kurrent and Wilhelm Holzbauer)
1956 and 1957 assistant to Konrad Wachsmann at the Salzburg summer academy
from 1969 from 1969 a studio of his own in Vienna
until 1974 partly in collaboration with Friedrich Kurrent
1970 City of Vienna architecture prize
from 1973 professor and head of a master class at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna
1975–1979 Rector
